ASME LGBTQ+ Pride Group

ASME celebrates its LGBTQ+ members, volunteers, and staff and is committed to an inclusive culture where everyone can bring their whole selves to the organization.

ASME’s LGBTQ+ Pride Group

seeks to further LGBTQ+ networking, visibility, and normalization at ASME and within the engineering field broadly. The group formed organically in 2019 and held its first gathering at the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition in November of that year.

Celebrating Diversity

LGBTQ+ Pride Month

ASME continues its commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in and outside the engineering profession—during and beyond LGBTQ+ Pride Month. ASME celebrates and pays tribute to the diverse perspectives, accomplishments, and obstacles faced by LGBTQ+ individuals. This recognition extends to the entire engineering community, including ASME, as we actively work towards creating a more inclusive engineering field.
