Reaffirming our Commitment to Advocacy
Reaffirming our Commitment to Advocacy
Dear ASME Community,
With the 2024 elections behind us, ASME is prepared to guide the incoming Administration and Congress as they shape policies that recognize and enhance the contributions of engineering and manufacturing to the economy, workforce development, and societal progress.
ASME is prepared to engage the incoming Administration and new Congress on the vital role engineers play in national priorities, from infrastructure and energy to advanced manufacturing. We’re closely following policy developments, particularly in the areas of workforce development and sustainability, as they are integral to the engineering community. With upcoming changes to tax policies and investment priorities, ASME will continue to advocate on behalf of our members and the broader engineering sector to ensure that our voices are represented in these critical discussions.
I understand that the 2024 election season was a time of heightened anxiety for many, and I want to assure you that ASME remains steadfast in our commitment to fostering unity and respect within the engineering profession, regardless of political outcomes. Engineers serve as problem-solvers and innovators with a shared purpose, and ASME is dedicated to supporting our members and the engineering community with compassion and excellence.
As the new Congress and Administration takes form, I look forward to updating you further on our policy priorities and how we are working in Washington to advance engineering in our nation and across the world.
Sincerely,
Thomas Costabile, P. E., FASME
Executive Director/CEO
