Lakshmi Singh Early Career Leadership Award
For early-to-mid-career women engineers who have demonstrated considerable leadership in, commitment to, and continued service with ASME.
All races and ethnicities are qualified, eligible, and encouraged for the Lakshmi Singh Early Career Leadership Award. One criteria of the evaluation gives focus and consideration to underrepresented minority (URM), which aligns with the National Science Foundation's definition and well-established label in higher education (especially for STEM fields) and refers to the low participation rates of racial and ethnic groups in fields such as computing relative to their representation in the U.S. population.
