Mechanisms Committee Student Design Competition (Undergraduate & Graduate Divisions)

Achievement:   Creativity, practicality, manufacturability, integrity of the analysis, quality of the model, project description, and presentation
Limitations:   Must be current undergraduate or graduate student and registered full time in school through the spring before final completion at Design Technical Conference. Must have a faculty sponsor.
Nomination Deadline:   8/10
Form of Award:   Engrossed certificate--monetary award dependent on success of fund raising
Frequency of Award:   Biannual

Selected By:   Volunteer judges from industry and academia
Selecting Process:   Regional finalists selected on basis of quality of written project report of 500-1500 word length. Finalists attend conference to display projects and make 15 minute oral presentation on work. Judges rank projects and presentations.
Funding:   Donations sought from industry for each competition
