ASME E-Fests Launches New All-Virtual Competition for Upcoming E-Fest Digital, March 25-26
NEW YORK (Feb. 22, 2022) – The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has launched a new fully digital competition, the Extended Reality Challenge (XRC), as part of ASME Engineering Festivals® (E-Fests). The 2022 challenge will focus on autonomous racing, enabling student teams to design a vehicle using CAD software, write an algorithm to control their vehicle using block-based programming software to navigate through a virtual practice course, and compete for cash prizes against other teams on a virtual racetrack during E-Fest Digital, March 25-26. Registration for the new XRC competition is open until Friday, Feb. 25. The new E-Fest competition is the latest in the ASME student competitions lineup that also includes:
