ASME Apollo Subsection and South Texas Gas Turbine Technical Chapter: Dual Drive Solutions
February 28 6:00PM - February 28 8:30PM, 2022
28 February 6:00 - 28 February 8:30, 2022
Description
Join ASME Apollo & GTTC for a joint meeting on Dual Drive Solutions. A Hybrid or Dual Drive combines 2 or more drive components to provide a more flexible and efficient combined solution. Steam turbines, gas expanders, gas engines and gas turbines are often combined with electric motor generators. Benefits include continuous operation during Grid Reliability issues, easier Permitting, lower Operational cost, Operational Flexibility, Site Power Generation, etc. Using the SGT-300 Gas Turbine with Gear Type Compressor and a Motor / Generator as example, this presentation will examine the key attributes of the Dual Drive Solution. Technical topics will cover Mechanical, Electrical and Controls related aspects of the Solution. Presented by Joel Schubert / Colten Clinch / Gary Longbottom (Siemens). This event is in person with a virtual component. Visit the event page to see the agenda, register for in person attendance and to access virtual registration. We hope you will join us.
