ASME Baltimore Section: Design of HVAC Systems in the Age of COVID
April 28 6:00PM - April 28 7:30PM, 2021
28 April 6:00 - 28 April 7:30, 2021
Description
he COVID Pandemic in the U.S. is now just over one year old. One of the strategies for mitigating the spread of the disease is the proper design and use of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems that turn over air as rapidly as possible, bring in fresh outside air, use filters to trap COVID size virus particles, and irradiate an air stream with ultraviolet (UV) light to kill viruses. Please join the ASME Baltimore Section as we host a FREE Zoom Webinar featuring Messrs. James Dougherty, John Ramer, and Curtis Firestine from the CRB Consulting Group for a discussion of state of the art HVAC Systems, designing HVAC systems to deal with COVID, and the future of HVAC systems. During this 1-hour webinar, you’ll learn about air system designs including increasing outside air, the distribution of air movement within a building, the use of UV light, filtration systems, and the effect of temperature and humidity on controlling viruses.
