Join the ASME Central Virginia Section and the Eastern Virginia Chapter of ASM International on February 9th for a technical presentation, "Composite Materials for Space and Aeronautics Applications", presented by Dr. Tyler Hudson. Tyler began his research at NASA Langley Research Center in May 2014. He worked as a Graduate Research Assistant as part of the graduate education program at the National Institute of Aerospace (NIA). He earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University in December 2017 under the direction of Dr. Fuh-Gwo Yuan. From December 2017 to March 2018, he worked as a Research Engineer at NIA. Tyler’s research has focused on the manufacturing, processing, structural health monitoring, and nondestructive evaluation of advanced aerospace composite structures. Tyler is an active member in American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and NASA Langley Emerging and Advancing Professionals (LEAP).
