Join the ASME Erie Section for a presentation on October 26th - A Crash Course in Rotor Dynamics, or How to Keep Your Helicopter from Crashing! Speaker: Conor Marr, PhD, Rotary Wing Staff Engineer II, Parker LORD. Conor currently works as a design engineer in the Rotary Wing engineering team within the Noise, Vibration, and Harshness group of Parker Hannifin. On the team, he specializes in fluidlastic dampers, computational fluid dynamics, optimization, and the creation of design tools. Conor earned a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from Penn State’s Vertical Lift Research Center of Excellence and currently serves on the Penn State Leonhard Center Advisory Board which is focused on improving engineering education. During his 16 years at Parker LORD, he has worked in and led various teams including Mechanical Technology Development, Sustaining Engineering, Product Support Engineering, and Aftermarket Engineering. He also leads the engineering side of the recruitment team at Parker LORD. Outside of work, when not adventuring with his two daughters, he and his wife love board games and to put on haunted houses.
