ASME India Section: Infusion of Industry Standards in Engineering Education

The goal of this webinar is to explain the process involved in developing the educational modules to globally incorporate industry standards in 4-year Mechanical Engineering and 2-year/4-year Mechanical Engineering Technology programs. Highlight the approach with examples on how to infuse in selected undergraduate courses spread through each of the typical four years with ready-to-deploy instructional resources and faculty guides on how to incorporate into existing course content, examples, and problems. The value of incorporating effective and recognized engineering codes and standards were identified as a result of the ASME Vision 2030 Creating the Future of Mechanical Engineering Education initiative, a 2012 study on the industry practice readiness of entry-level mechanical engineering graduates. Participants will also get information on how to access these free modules from ASME.
