ASME Mid-Continent Section: A Potpourri of Fluid Dynamics Problems
November 11 12:00PM - November 11 1:00PM, 2021
11 November 12:00 - 11 November 1:00, 2021
Description
This presentation will cover a number of ASEE Annual Conference papers published over the years with undergraduate mechanical engineering students. These papers include a wide variety of different fluid flow areas such as water filtration, space air diffusion, airfoil flows and instabilities in fluid flows. The presentation covers both experimental work and CFD simulations of these flow cases. John Matsson is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Chair of the School of Engineering at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His teaching areas include Aerodynamics, Finite Element Methods, Fluid Mechanics, and Manufacturing Processes. He earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden in 1988 and 1994, respectively and completed postdoctoral work at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway.
