ASME Mid-Continent Section: Road to Data Science in Industry 4.0 with Dr. Ammar Abdilghanie, Principal Data Scientist, Blue Origin
April 14 12:00PM - April 14 1:00PM, 2022
14 April 12:00 - 14 April 1:00, 2022
Description
Bio: Dr. Abdilghanie has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University (2011) and a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Dr. Abdilghanie specializes in the analysis of massive datasets, typically generated from sensors and industrial machinery and numerical simulation and distilling such information into actionable insights that drive business value. Dr. Abdilghanie will share his combined industrial and academic experience of two decades working on computational modeling, simulation, and artificial intelligence. He will summarize insights and lessons learned from developing advanced digital products and solutions across the value chain of the O&G industry based on a myriad of approaches including physics-based, data-driven and hybrid models. Use cases including leak detection, predictive emission monitoring and condition-based maintenance of industrial machinery will be presented. A brief description of the end-to-end process of developing such AI powered solutions will be discussed. Finally, he is going to share valuable recommendations to students and professionals interested in a career in data science and machine learning. We hope can you attend!
