05 March 6:00 - 05 March 8:00, 2021
Description
Dave Soukup will be discussing the value of engineering licensure. According to ASME’s latest salary survey, mechanical engineers holding a license earn nearly $16,000 more annually than mechanical engineers without licensure. It is a process that takes several years and is based on a combination of education, experience, technical knowledge, and professionalism. The specific requirements of the types of accredited engineering degrees, the two examinations, and the documentation of four years of engineering experience will be covered. Dave Soukup, P.E., CAE, is the Managing Director, Governance of ASME and an adjunct professor in the New York University Tandon School of Engineering’s Technology Management and Innovation Department.
