ASME Piedmont Carolina Section: Networking Meeting Featuring Autonomous Vehicle Podcasts

In years gone by, we would meet monthly for networking, and on occasion, listen to speakers who would captivate our imagination on our rapidly changing world. With the advent of the Internet, we now find ourselves living in a virtual world where we meet one another via a computer screen and speakers enchant us via podcasts. The ASME Piedmont Carolina Section would like to dedicate our March 2021 meeting to virtual networking, which will also serve as an experiment on how we conduct our meetings going forward. Our meeting will allow us to mingle with old friends while making new friends along the way. Attendees will be encouraged to catch everyone up on interesting projects and research in their lives, while fostering networking in general among our membership (i.e., We can help each other down the road find answers to questions that baffle us as well as find leads on future job prospects). In addition, we will watch an Autonomous Vehicle Podcast by Marc Hoag, who hosts the world's only weekly podcast dedicated entirely to driverless cars. After the podcast, we can discuss what we have learned and explore other concepts and opportunities associated with autonomous vehicles in the days ahead.
