Omega is a precision machining company specializing in Wire Electrical Discharge Machining, EDM. They take pride in making high quality, precision parts out of metals, plastics, and machinable ceramics. Using their 3D MASTERCAM software, they can machine parts from solid models or from standard 2-dimensional CAD files. Their manufacturing services include prototypes, assemblies, handle production runs, and build machines complete. Founded by Ron Hunte, a mechanical engineer with 25 years experience in a progressive job shop environment, Omega Manufacturing is excellent example of turning one’s dreams into a viable business venture. Our tour will not only cover the latest applications of innovative technologies, but will also provide everyone with insight into the benefits and challenges associated with starting a business in today’s competitive world. After the tour, we invite everyone to join us at Fonda las Cazuelas Restaurant for a casual dinner together to help celebrate the tour and the upcoming holidays. The restaurant is located at 5130 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC, which will be convenient for students and provide quick assess to I-485 for our professional members. We will all order off the menu, which provides many options for food and drink for everyone.
