Data trading has become a billion dollar industry in the last two decades, hence the appetite is high to obtain such data by any means legal and illegal. Ransomware attacks are another form of data piracy and it is on the increase due to the raise of assisting technologies. Therefore data owners, organisations and individuals alike, have the responsibility to ensure a proper data security and have enough data availability protection should the data is compromised.
