Ways to Get Involved
Manufacturing Capabilities and Healthcare Needs
- America Makes, working together with the FDA, NIH, and VHA in collaboration with ASME, have set up a site to gather manufacturing capabilities from those with 3D printing capabilities and needs of healthcare professionals, connected to a repository of downloadable designs via the NIH 3D Print Exchange, and connected to the VHA system for design vetting. At the moment, matching capabilities is being done manually, with the goal to have a dynamically responding platform. For more information, visit: https://www.americamakes.us/statement-on-covid-19/
- NIH 3D Print Exchange COVID-19 Supply Chain Response: A collection of downloadable files and ability to upload shareable design files that have been reviewed for or need to be reviewed for clinical use.

Additional COVID-10 Resources
- DOD COVID-19 Joint Acuisition Task Force: The DOD’s COVID-19 Joint Acquisition Task Force has aligned with the efforts of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), HHS to support the collection of information from America’s industrial base as the need for critical supplies continues to grow. This information will be shared directly with the COVID-19 Joint Acquisition Task Force as part of a holistic effort to give COVID-19 response leaders insight into the readiness and capabilities of communities outside the traditional medical supplier base.
