Video: Small Modular Nuclear Reactors

Jose Reyes is co-founder and chief technology officer for NuScale Power, a firm that is at the forefront of design of small modular nuclear reactors. His firm is betting that design of 50-MW modules capable of operating independently within a greater configuration will spur growth in nuclear power production. In this interview conducted at 2016 ASME’s Power & Energy Conference, he talks about the design and safety improvements in the system.
