National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Soliciting Feedback for its Upcoming R&D Plan
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is currently accepting comments and feedback to help inform its upcoming research and development (R&D) plan, set to be released in 2019. The NOAA’s R&D plan will provide a NOAA’s leadership, workforce, partners and constituents with a greater understanding of the value and direction of NOAA R&D activities.
The “key vision statement areas” of the plan are:
- Reduced societal impacts from severe weather and other environmental phenomena
- Sustainable use of ocean and coastal resources
- A robust and effective research, development and transition enterprise
All comments are due by February 8, 2019. Comments should be sent via email to noaa.rdplan@noaa.gov with “NOAA R&D Plan Public Comment” listed as the subject line of the message.
