U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Celebrating 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will be hosting a special event to commemorate the 50^th anniversary of the moon landing on July 23. The event will take place at the USPTO headquarters and will focus on space innovation, technology transfer from the Apollo missions, along with an overview of the current administration’s policy on space exploration and space commerce.

The event will also feature a range of speakers from the commercial space industry, federal government and astronauts, including:
 

• NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine
• United States Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross
• Astronaut Kathryn Sullivan
• Astronaut Paul Richards
• Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Slingshot Aerospace Melanie Stricklan

In addition to this event, the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF), located at the USPTO is also hosting a special exhibit honoring exhibit honoring NASA’s Apollo 11 moon mission, featuring NIHF inductees and the impact their innovations have had on our nation’s space flight and exploration efforts. All event attendees are invited to visit the NIHF event in conjunction with the event.
