Welcome ASME 2024-2025 Federal Fellows

Welcome ASME 2024-2025 Federal Fellows

ASME is pleased to introduce our Federal Fellows 2024-2025 cohort who will be contributing their engineering expertise across the federal government. This year’s cohort will be serving in U.S. Congress, the Department of State and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Joel Berry will represent ASME in the U.S. Congress. Dr. Berry holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and comes to the program from Kettering University bringing with him decades of expertise in mechanical engineering and fuel cell innovation.

Reece Lumsden will be serving at the Department of State. Reece holds advanced degrees in engineering, space studies and systems engineering, and is a published author.  Prior to the fellowship, he spent over 12 years in the aerospace industry, with leadership roles in systems integration for major aerospace companies.

Julien Caubel will be serving in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, reestablishing a fellowship partnership that started 40 years ago. With a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and founder of a technology company specializing in air pollution sensors, Julien brings with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

ASME congratulates these fellows and wishes them a successful fellowship year!
