Maggie is a “Metal Fuel Groupie”

She’s a self-proclaimed “metal fuel groupie” and a Senior Fuel Systems Specialist at ARC Clean Technology. Maggie Manley describes her visit to Idaho National Laboratory - the highlight was seeing the retired EBR II. The "Experimental Fast Reactor II" was a sodium-cooled fast reactor built as a power plant demonstration that also included a facility to re-process spent fuel. It operated from 1964 - 1994 and was the first nuclear reactor to generate electricity. Maggie is a passionate engineer who firmly believes that this type of reactor will benefit humanity, not only by providing clean energy but also through its industrial decarbonization applications.
