Podcast: Carbon Capture Is Poised for Fast Growth

The abundance of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is recognized as the leading cause of climate change globally. The U.S. and other countries are working to cut emissions by at least 40 percent below 1990 levels by 2030, with an ambitious goal of reaching global net-zero GHG emissions by 2050. Carbon capture and sequestration will play a big role in working toward those goals, but it is still early in being implemented and there are still barriers to development. Battelle’s technical director of carbon management Neeraj Gupta talks about carbon capture and sequestration.
