Students: March 20 is the Deadline to Apply for an ASME Scholarship



The ASME Foundation and the ASME Auxiliary will offer more than $180,000 in scholarships to ASME student members for the upcoming school year. The deadline for applying for one of 45 undergraduate and graduate scholarships is March 20, however. So if you’re interested, visit go.asme.org/scholarships, click the “Apply” button, and fill out an online application now.

ASME student members in good standing can login to the ASME Scholarship application using their ASME member number and the e-mail address on record with ASME. Applicants must be accepted and enrolled in an ABET-accredited university for the upcoming academic year beginning this fall.

Scholarships available for undergraduate students this year include one $13,000 Kenneth Andrew Roe Scholarship, one $11,000 ASME Foundation Scholar award, up to three $5,000 Nuclear Engineering Division Scholarships, up to two $5,000 Garland Duncan Scholarships, and two $4,000 Melvin R. Green Scholarships.

Six ASME Scholarships are open to student members pursuing graduate degrees: the Willis F. Thompson Memorial Scholarship, the ASME/Virginia Tech Memorial Scholarship, the Kate Gleason Scholarship, the Bruce J. Heim Foundation Scholarship, the Marjorie Roy Rothermel Scholarship, and the Elisabeth M. and Winchell M. Parsons Scholarship.
