Cast Your Vote for the Engineering for You Video Contest People’s Choice Award

The National Academy of Engineering received more than 600 entries for its inaugural Engineering for You (E4U) Video Contest, which was initiated to help highlight how engineering contributions have benefited society throughout the years. The contest’s judges have selected 15 of those videos to compete for a special People’s Choice Award.
The videos have been posted on the E4U website and the NAE YouTube channel under the heading “Engineering for You People’s Choice Videos.” Visit either site now to watch all of the entries and vote for your favorite.
The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be determined by the number of “likes” a video receives through Sept. 1 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The creator of the most-liked video will receive a $5,000 prize.
All of the contest’s winning videos — including the winners of the People’s Choice Award, the Best Overall video, and the winners in the competition’s various categories — will be announced by the end of September and will be featured on both the National Academy of Engineering and the E4U Video Contest websites. The winning videos will also be screened at the NAE 50th Anniversary celebration during the 2014 NAE Annual Meeting, to take place Sept. 28-29 in Washington, D.C.
