NASA Accepting Proposals for its Leading Edge Aeronautics Research for NASA Program

The NASA Aeronautics Research Institute of the space agency's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) is currently seeking multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary team-based research for its Leading Edge Aeronautics Research for NASA (LEARN) program.
Proposals must clearly describe an innovative, broadly based research concept addressing one or more of the ARMD's strategic objectives: safe, efficient growth in global operations; innovation in commercial supersonic aircraft; ultra-efficient commercial vehicles; transition to low-carbon propulsion; real-time system-wide safety assurance, and assured autonomy for aviation transformation. The concept should also have the potential to develop into technologies of interest to the ARMD or to commercial aerospace companies.
Proposals for research projects with a projected start date of Jan. 1, 2015, are due Aug. 20. The complete research announcement, including details on a pre-proposal briefing and other specific information relating to this solicitation for the LEARN program, is now available on the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES) site, at https://nspires.nasaprs.com. Prospective applicants should Reference Appendix E of the NASA ARMD Research Opportunities in Aeronautics (ROA-2014) in the Open Solicitations section.
Applicants who are not currently registered with an NSPIRES account may sign up for one at https://nspires.nasaprs.com/external/aboutRegistration.do.
