Reminder: Nominations Due for Kate Gleason Award

The ASME Foundation will be accepting nominations for the 2013 Kate Gleason Award, the annual ASME Society-level award honoring women engineers, through Feb. 1.

The award, which recognizes a female who is either a highly successful engineering entrepreneur or represents a lifetime of achievement in an engineering discipline, was established in 2011 by the Foundation and is funded through the Gleason Family Foundation to honor the legacy of Kate Gleason, an engineering pioneer who was the first woman to become a full member of ASME.

The award recipient will receive a $10,000 honorarium, and will be honored during the 2013 ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition.

For more information on the award, visit the Kate Gleason Award page or contact ASME Foundation, at (202) 785-7385, or via e-mail at asmefoundation@asme.org.
