Reminder: Time is Running Out to Submit an Abstract for IMECE

The clock is winding down for authors who would like to give a full paper presentation at the ASME International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) this November. Researchers who would like to present their work at IMECE 2020 only have until March 16 to submit an abstract through the IMECE web page.

IMECE is ASME’s largest research and development conference focused primarily on mechanical engineering, but encompassing perspectives from many engineering disciplines. This year’s conference, which will take place from Nov. 15-19 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Ore., will provide engineers with a unique opportunity to present their technical research and expertise to thousands of their research colleagues from around the world.

IMECE’s 17 technical tracks this year will cover a broad range of topics including advanced manufacturing; energy; biomedical and biotechnology; advances in aerospace technology; engineering education; safety engineering, risk and reliability analysis; micro- and nanosystems engineering and packaging; dynamics, vibration and control; and advanced materials: design, processing characterization and applications.

Three poster tracks —the ASME International Undergraduate Research and Design Expo, the National Science Foundation (NSF) Student Competition, and the Research Posters track — will also be included in the technical program.

IMECE 2020 paper abstracts must be submitted online at https://imece.secure-platform.com by March 16. Authors will receive notification by March 30 if their abstracts are accepted. They will then have until May 11 to submit their full-length manuscripts.
