Student Leader Weekends, Coming to a City Near You
Beginning in September in the city of Nashville, ASME will hold eight Student Leader Weekends.
Calling all Student Section Leaders! Don't miss the exciting opportunity to enhance your leadership skills and connect with like-minded individuals at the ASME Student Leader Weekends (SLWs)! This year we will be kicking off in Nashville and ending in Los Angeles. Last Fall, leaders from 43 different student sections attended.
Join us for a weekend packed with workshops, interactive sessions, and inspiring guest speakers who will share their insights and experiences. You'll gain valuable knowledge and practical tools to excel as a leader within ASME and beyond.
Network with fellow engineering students from diverse backgrounds and universities, creating long-lasting connections and expanding your professional circle. Exchange ideas and ignite your passion for engineering as you engage in stimulating discussions with some of the brightest minds in the industry.
Alexander Pak, chair of the ASME student section at UCLA talks about his experience attending the Los Angelos SLW, “From learning about ASME’s resources to great hospitality to networking, the SLW is a great balance of learning and fun! There are so many unique initiatives that each section manages on their own that you may never know until meeting them at SLW. This was not only a great learning experience to share/receive ideas on how different ASME student sections are run, but it was also an incredible bonding experience with the other participants as student leaders but also as new friends. My student section also set up an event in collaboration with other sections nearby as a direct result of SLW!"
