Video: Mentoring Future Engineers: FIRST Robotics Competition, Part 2
Over 200 students showcased their robot-building and engineering skills during the NYC FIRST Robotics Regionals championship held March 7-9, 2013, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, NY. Not only was the event a great platform to get young students excited about STEM, but it also gave experienced professionals a mentoring opportunity to prepare the next generation of engineers. Mentors helped students with robot design, supervised machine-shop operations, and tutored students on software tools and technical topics.
