Video: Yogesh Jaluria, 2012 Honorary Membership

Yogesh Jaluria is a researcher and teacher who promotes interdisciplinary approaches to solving engineering problems. He is a Board of Governors Professor at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in Piscataway.

Dr. Jaluria is one of the leading authorities in the field of thermal science and engineering. He is particularly well-known for his work on buoyancy-induced flows—spreading fires, for example. He has also made pioneering contributions to material processing, including thermal processing of polymeric materials, fabrication of thin films, and the drawing of optical fiber.

Dr. Jaluria received his master's degree and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He earned his bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
